We’re very happy to welcome Zachary Kulick Schwartz to the family!
Zac was born at 2:01pm on July 26, 2012. He weighed in at 8 lb 7 oz and measured 20.5 inches long.

Rachel has been pounding down protein (in the sausage format) like she’s carbo-loading for an upcoming marathon.
Milo (the fair weather carnivore) is quite happy to go along for the ride.
So what’s a vegetarian to do?
Sit back, hope for a like-minded 2nd child, and mix another Dark ‘n Stormy.
We’re all anxiously awaiting the arrival of baby #2, aka The Kicker, due July 25th. Could be a boy, could be a girl – theories anyone?? He/she is definitely starting off life under-documented, so I’ll try to make up for a little lost time in this post!

Video of the heartbeat on June 20, 2012 – apparently a lower heartbeat (120-ish) can suggest a boy and a higher heartbeat (160 bpm) can suggest a girl. This heartbeat was 144 bpm suggesting that this child will be a…tease.

Milo eats his favorite parts of the meal first and saves the worst for last. I do the opposite.
I see a cardboard box and think recycling. Milo sees a cardboard box and sees possibilities.
Milo sometimes pees in bed, could care less, and keeps on sleeping. I can’t go back to sleep after I pee in bed.
I bat righty. Milo bats lefty.
Milo is a Yankee fan of convenience. I am a steadfast Yankee fan. (Milo roots for the Yanks if he wants something from me, and roots for the Red Sox if he wants something from Rachel)
I prefer to eat breakfast in one sitting. Milo prefers to eat 1 bite, play, another bite, play, 2 bites, go see what mom is doing, 1 bite, leave the house for 3 hours, returns and demands to know where his bowl of cereal is…
Milo lives in the moment. I worry about the future and regret the past.
