Milo, formerly known as The Bump, sure has come a long way. This video was taken this past summer (late July) in Seattle.
Yellow
Milo has always liked lemons. He’ll suck on a wedge of lemon and then grimace and squint like a walnut. Laugh. And repeat. Here are some of my favorite lemon images from the summer:
Cousin Elias slip ‘n sliding
Escalator in Rem Koolhaas’ Seattle Public Library
Making sorbet from fresh Napa Valley Meyer Lemons
Dancing like a rock star in Portland, OR
2008 Presidential Election
its been 120 days, 21 hours, 14 minutes and 58 seconds
since my last post …
ok, the guilt is finally starting to overwhelm me
milo has hit so many milestones and had so many great moments in the last 4 months that I’m frankly overwhelmed by the prospects of chronicling it adequately here… but brick by brick here we go
as i type i’m cleaning up pictures, organizing videos and i promise to start delivering at least a couple of posts a week until i’m caught up
to hold your attention until the first installment you can read about our time bonding with cousins in Napa Valley, watch milo rocking out at a crib dance party in Seattle, or learn how to make a compost bin in Connecticut
more soon.

Here are a couple of snaps from Milo’s 1st birthday party in Prospect Park. Rachel and I both managed to forgot to take pictures – so we’re in the process of collecting them from various guests. We had a beautiful warm day with about 9-10 of Milo’s friends and their parents, 2 grandparents, 2 cousins and 1 great-grandparent … not too shabby!
My new favorite picture – Milo and with his new best friend. Milo’s mouth was open like this for pretty much the entire afternoon!
